Pogo! Announces the New RipFlash "Slim-Series" Recordable Digital Audio Player Series

Calif., October 28, 2002 - PoGo! today announced it has added two new models as part of the new “SLIM-Series” to their popular and top rated RipFlash™ line of Recordable Digital Audio Players. The RipFlash™ PRO is a full-featured MP3/WMA Player and MP3 Recorder with advanced digital voice recorder features plus the proven RipFlash Direct Encode Feature. At approximately ¼:” thin, it is the industry’s slimmest MP3 player and outer size is about the same as a business card, making it truly pocket size. A chargeable Lithium Ion battery powers the PRO and other features include a blue backlight, ID3 tag support, jog dial for navigation, and USB connectivity. Digital voice recorder features include a built in microphone and speaker as well as multi-speed playback. The PRO has a brushed aluminum casing and high quality fit-and-finish and comes with several accessories including a case, earbud-style headphones, AC charge adapter, and more.

The RipFlash™ TRIO combines three products into one, ultra thin form factor with Nickel Metal Hydride “Gum Stick” rechargeable battery. Like the PRO, TRIO is a full-featured MP3/WMA Player and MP3 Recorder, a Digital Voice Recorder with on board speaker and microphone, and an FM radio with direct record capability. It has USB connectivity to your desktop PC that also charges the battery (USB Charging) and has the RipFlash Direct Encode for recording from any audio source. The TRIO is business card size, very slim and weighs about one ounce making it the lightest MP3 players in the industry. TRIO comes with several standard accessories including earbud-style headphones, an external lapel microphone, and a rapid charger.

RipFlash Direct Encode Technology allows users to record to high quality digital file formats, like MP3 or WMA depending on the model, directly from virtually any audio device such as a portable CD player, radio, record player, or tape player through the RipFlash line-in connector. RipFlash eliminates the need to use a PC to make high quality MP3 or WMA files (depending on model). Users can also record voice messages or live recording in MP3 using the internal microphone. Quality levels can be set for very long play to very high quality recording depending on the requirement. The recordings can be listened to back through the on board internal speaker, through the included ear bud headphones, or even through any home or car audio system using the appropriate cables.
