Q. Where can I download an update for my Pogo product?

A. You can download an update for all our products here. You can download user manuals here. They are in PDF format so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read it. Get Adobe Acrobat Reader here.

Q. Is my product compatible with Windows XP?
A. Yes. Just click Continue Anyway. All of our products have been tested to work with Windows XP.

Q. My unit is not detected by the Mp3 manager software! What do I do?
A. Check your drivers. Drivers are files the operating system needs to communicate with the device. Use your Device Manager. In XP; right click my computer, select properties, hardware, device manager (In 9x properties, device manager). Are there any yellow marks? If so, right click the USB device and select update driver and follow the wizard.

Q. My RipFlash TRIO will not display USB CONNECT on the LCD screen and is not detected by the VR manager! What is the cause?
A. The most common cause of this problem is:

1.You are using the little USB attachment piece per page 33 of the User Manual 2.The drivers have not been installed.

Power on your TRIO and do not use the little USB attachment piece (Use the long USB cable only) and check your drivers. Drivers are files the operating system needs to communicate with the device. Use your Device Manager. In XP; right click my computer, select properties, hardware, device manager (In 9x properties, device manager). Are there any yellow marks? If so, right click the USB device and select update driver and follow the wizard.

3.You are running Windows XP SP2. The Trio was discontinued before SP2 was released and their is no additional software planned for the Trio to support XP SP2.

Q. What are the maximum size external memory cards that I can use with your products?
A. The original RipFlash and the RipFlash PLUS can support up to 128MB SMC. The RipFlash DX, flipster! and the original Radio YourWay can support up to 256MB SD and 128MB MMC. Radio YourWay LX can support up to 1gig SD and MMC.

Q. How do I set an AM/FM Reserved Recording with the original Radio YourWay?
A. Make sure you are in tuned to the desired AM/FM station prior to setting a reserved (future) recording.

Press the TIMER Button twice and the reserved recording screen appears. The minute needle clock indicator and setting channel should be flickering. Press FW or RW: to select the file number and then push PLAY. Now the days of the week will flicker. Use FW or RW to select the desired day and press PLAY.

After selecting the day set the hour by using FW or RW and pushing PLAY (same as before) to select the desired hour (do the same for minutes). After the minutes are set, the start time will flicker but you will be setting the ending time now. Set the hour by using FW or RW and pushing PLAY (same as before) to select the desired hour (do the same for minutes). When you finish, you will see the main screen and your unit is ready to record on the selected day(s) & time(s). You may set up to 10 reserved recordings for all the sections in AM/FM/VOICE.


Q. Is it possible for me to listen to one radio station while simultaneously recording on a different one?
A. No. Radio YourWay tunes to the station you've programmed to record.

Q. Can I set the timer to record from the line input for a
programmed schedule?

A. Yes. You can program the unit to make a voice, line in or a radio recording.

Q. How do I select a different recoding bit rate on my original Radio YourWay?
A. To change the recording bitrate from 16kbps to 32kbps, switch the unit to voice mode (using the mode button) and hold down the REMAIN/EQ button until you see the desired bitrate on the LCD screen.
*When you see the desired bitrate, let go of the REMAIN/EQ button.

Q. Does Radio YourWay record FM Stereo broadcasts in stereo, or only in mono?
A. The original Radio Yourway and Radio Yourway Mini records in mono only. Radio Yourway LX records in stereo MP3. 

Q. I recently installed RYW explorer and it runs only one time. (or flashes a black cmd screen) After I download some MP3 files, or upload a recorded radio program and terminate that session, I have to reinstall the program to make it run, and then only once! How can I fix this?
A. There may be a process on the system stopping it.
Please right click the programs icon and select properties and then compatibility.
click that box run this program in compatibility mode for and try 2000 mode. If 2000 mode does not work, try 98/ME mode etc.

Q. How do I set a timer recording on an SD or MMC card for the original Radio YourWay?
A. AM/FM Reserved Recording

1. Make sure you are in tuned to the desired AM/FM station prior to setting a reserved (future) recording.

2 . Push the A-B button on Radio Yourway to switch to the SD/MMC card and next press the TIMER Button twice and the reserved recording screen appears.
The minute needle clock indicator and setting channel should be flickering.
Press FW or RW to select the file number and then push PLAY.
Now the days of the week will flicker. Use FW or RW to select the desired day and press PLAY.

3. After selecting the day, set the hour by using FW or RW and pushing PLAY (same as before) to select the desired hour (do the same for minutes). After the minutes are set, the start time will flicker but you will be setting the ending time now. Set the hour by using FW or RW and pushing PLAY (same as before) to select the desired hour (do the same for minutes). Q. How do I erase a timer recording on my Radio YourWay LX?
A. To erase a timer recording on firmware 1.09 and below:

1.Press and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds

2.Select the schedule you would like to delete. Go down to TYPE, then use the REWIND key to select Disable.

3.Press the Play button and Save.

A. To erase a timer recording on firmware 1.10:

1.Press the Timer button and select Set on the popup menu.

2.Select the schedule you would like to delete. Go down to TYPE, then use the REWIND key to select Delete.

3.Press the Play button and Save.

Q. How do I erase a reserved recording on my original Radio YourWay?
A. To erase a reserved recording:

1.Follow the procedure to set a new reserved recording

2.When the file number blinks, use the REWIND key to select the number of the reserved recording you wish to delete.

3.Push Erase twice.

Q. What are the specs to the original RYW AC adaptor?
A. Here is the AC info:

Input 120VAC 60Hz 6W
Output 3.0 VDC 200mA

Q. My original Radio YourWay is not recording! Is there any way to reset the memory?
A. Yes. In Voice Mode press and hold the repeat button for 10-15 seconds until it resets (erases all files) and try again. Sometimes files do not get deleted properly in the FAT and this makes the unit think the memory is full. To avoid this, format the units memory with the software every couple of weeks or do this procedure.

Q. I made a mistake setting up my reserved recording on my original Radio YourWay. Can I edit the reserved recording before the recording takes place?
A. To modify a reserved recording:

1.Follow the procedure to set a new reserved recording

2.When the file number blinks, use the REWIND key to select the number of the reserved recording you wish to modify.

3.Go through the normal process of setting up the reserved recording.
Note: You can only edit day and time settings. If you made a mistake setting the correct recording station, you must erase the reserved recording.

Q. My original Radio YourWay will not record to the SD card and it worked before!
A. Make sure you are setting the reserved recording to record to the SD card as described in this FAQ. If everything is correctly set and the unit is still not recording to the card, your card is corrupted.

1.Try to reformat the card to a FAT using your external reader/writer.

2. With the SD card in the unit (Use A-B to switch to card) and
In Voice Mode press and hold the repeat button for 10-15 seconds until it resets (erases all files) and try again.

3.Try to format the card using the RYW software.

If none of these tips helped, the next step is for us to look at your unit with our working SD cards. Keep in mind that RYW does not support SD cards over 256MB.

Q. Will my Radio YourWay LX work with an Ultra II or High-Speed SD memory card?
A. Sorry, but Radio YourWay LX is not compatible with Ultra II or high-speed SD memory cards.  The LX will support standard SD cards of up to 1 gig. 

Q. My Radio YourWay LX is not detecting the mp3's or WMA's that I've downloaded onto my SD card!
A. In Music, Voice, AM, or FM mode, tap the A/B button to switch memory states.  There is a small icon near the top of the display that will indicate INT if you're on internal or SD if you're on external.

Q. Is there a way to change the timer display during playback on my Radio YourWay LX? 
A. While listening to a recording or song, tap the Timer button to switch timer displays.

Q. Does the Radio YourWay Mini record or support mp3? 
A. The Mini does not record or support mp3 files.  It records in ADPCM format.
